Del 08 al 10 de agosto se realizó el Torneo denominado II Festival de Marcas, en la ciudad de Lima, evento que sirvió como último control para integrar el Seleccionado Nacional de Natación y nuestro destacado deportista Renato Arias Obregón, de la categoría Infantil B, logró clasificar y superar sus marcas, lo que le permite estar presente en la Copa Pacífico a realizase próximamente en la ciudad de Cochabamba – Bolivia en las pruebas de 50 m pecho (35.31), 100 m pecho (01.17.96), 100 m espalda (01.11.42).El Consejo Directivo del Club Internacional por intermedio de la Vocalía de Natación, a cargo del Sr. Fernando Portugal, destaca su gran esfuerzo del joven deportista que, para lograr este objetivo ha tenido que preparar arduamente con entrenamientos en doble jornada, además de fortalecer sus músculos en gimnasio, trabajos en la piscina de cayma, entre otros ejercicios. Todo ello le permitió lograr su clasificación e integrar la Selección Peruana.
Se hace mención a la deportista Valeria Jiménez Nakagawa que pese al gran esfuerzo realizado, no logró clasificar, quedando a centésimas en las tres pruebas que destaca. Asimismo, se resalta la participación de todos los integrantes del equipo que lograron mejorar sus marcas y realizar un gran performance como: Claret Feria Velarde, Sharon Gordillo Palacios, Carlos Pomareda Prado y Eduardo Florido Ticona.
Los deportistas se encuentran a cargo del Profesor de Educación Física y Entrenador, Gary León del Carpio.
La Vocalía de Natación, desea expresar su más sincera felicitación por este importante logro y es por ello que se está programando una Conferencia de Prensa para la siguiente semana, para invitar al destacado deportista y brinde unas declaraciones de lo que significa para él haber obtenido este triunfo y poder conversar abiertamente con los medios de prensa.
